Fantasy Football Matchups to Target, Avoid (Week 11) - Offensive Line Champs and Chumps

Nick Chubb - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Fantasy football offenses to target and avoid for Week 11 for the 2024 NFL season. Dan's best and worst NFL offensive lines for fantasy football production heading into Week 11.

Week 10 featured an excellent Thursday night game but plenty of struggles on Sunday and Monday. Some rough offensive performances from historically reliable players this season made fantasy scoring hard to come by for many.

The injuries kept racking up along offensive lines across the league. In Week 10, 18 teams were missing at least one starter, and six teams lost an additional starter.

Four more teams are on bye in Week 11. Fantasy managers will need to find every edge imaginable filling out their rosters to navigate injuries and byes. Check out the offensive line matchups to target and avoid in Week 11 below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Champ of the Week

Detroit Lions

No Taylor Decker, no problem. The Lions provided a solid pocket for Jared Goff (despite his poor statistical day) in an impressive comeback win against the Houston Texans.

The Lions allowed just eight pressures against Houston’s excellent defensive line in Week 10. Detroit’s offensive line had just an average pass grade of 59.9, but it was able to secure the win thanks to excellent run blocking (79.4 average grade) and overall efforts (76.3 PFF grade) in the trenches.

Detroit got a fantastic performance from the right side of the offensive line with Kevin Zeitler, Penei Sewell, and Frank Ragnow each posting a PFF grade above 82.0 and a run-blocking grade above 90.0.

Taylor Decker shouldn’t miss long due to his shoulder injury, so expect this group to continue to improve against Jacksonville in Week 11.

Chump of the Week

Chicago Bears

The Bears offensive line has struggled throughout the season, but Week 10’s game against the Patriots was a new low. New England came into the game struggling to generate pressure up front but had an excellent week against Chicago, racking up 16 pressures and eight sacks.

Some of the issues are on Caleb Williams, but the vast majority falls on the offensive line. Chicago’s offensive line was credited with four sacks and 12 pressures. The Bears entered the game missing both starting tackles and a guard before losing Teven Jenkins after 19 snaps. The four backups were just not talented enough to keep their rookie quarterback upright.

The Bears failed to post an average pass-blocking, run-blocking, or overall grade above 58.0 against a bad Patriots defensive line. They need to get healthy quickly if they want to salvage their season before playing all their divisional games.

Week 11 Matchups to Target

Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints

The Browns haven’t had many opportunities to roll out their best offensive line this season but could be ready to go after their Week 10 bye. A unit that has been forced to utilize several guards and tackles will have an excellent opportunity to get acclimated against the Saints in Week 11.

New Orleans has done a good job getting consistent pressure on the edges from Carl Granderson (33 pressures and five sacks) and Chase Young (37 pressures and four sacks). However, the team has very little presence on the interior defensive line.

Jameis Winston should have ample time in the pocket to attack a Saints secondary without Marshon Lattimore (trade). We could also see a strong game from Nick Chubb against a New Orleans defensive line allowing the second-most yards per carry (5.1) and yards before contact (2.6) in 2024.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks

The 49ers offensive line struggled through a win against the Buccaneers in Week 10. San Francisco didn’t allow any sacks but did give up 12 pressures against an inconsistent Tampa Bay defensive front.

Trent Williams (80.6 PFF grade) and rookie guard Dominick Puni (83.4 PFF grade) remain the two strongest pieces of this group. The 49ers are still searching for consistency among their other three players but were able to put together enough big plays to win in Christian McCaffrey’s 2024 debut.

San Francisco should have an advantage in the trenches in Week 11’s matchup against the Seahawks. Seattle has plenty of talent, headlined by Leonard Williams (74.2 PFF grade) and Boye Mafe (73.5 PFF grade), but has gotten inconsistent results as a unit this year.

Seattle does feature five players with 25 or more pressures and two or more sacks on the season, which could pose a problem for the 49ers. However, the defensive line has just two players with a PFF run defense grade above 64.0 this year. That plays right into San Francisco’s preferred game script.

Don’t be surprised if Christian McCaffrey can have a strong second game, which will open up passing zones for Brock Purdy under center.

Week 11 Matchups to Avoid

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles

The Commanders offensive line performed admirably against the Steelers, allowing two sacks and four pressures in a Week 10 loss. However, it will be tested once again against the Eagles, who are one of the hottest defensive lines in the NFL at the moment.

Philadelphia forced four sacks and 16 pressures against the Cowboys in Week 10. Jalen Carter (32 pressures and four sacks) remains one of the most formidable interior pass-rushers in his second season. Josh Sweat has been excellent off the edge this season as well, racking up 31 pressures and five sacks.

Five other Eagles have at least 11 pressures. Eight players on the defense have generated at least two pressures on the season.

Washington’s offensive line has been much better than expected this season, but it is in the middle of a rough stretch against good defensive lines. The Eagles could cause problems for Jayden Daniels in a hurry this season.

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Buffalo’s offensive line has lacked high-end play, but it has performed well enough to get the job done. All five of its starters have played in at least 10 games and 599 snaps this year. None of them have a PFF grade above 70.0. Just one (O’Cyrus Torrence) has a grade below 61.0.

The Bills have given up a healthy amount of pressure this season (82), but Josh Allen has been excellent at avoiding sacks (four). That will be put to the test against a Chiefs defensive line starting to find its stride.

Three different Chiefs have 19 or more pressures. Two (George Karlaftis and Chris Jones) have 30 or more. In total, the Chiefs have generated 155 pressures in 2024. They’ve been able to convert 22 of them into sacks.

Kansas City is also stout against the run, allowing just 1.8 yards before contact this season. Expect Buffalo to struggle up front in this game. We have seen Allen overcome these issues in the past, but it wouldn’t be shocking if the other pieces on this offense struggled to hit their normal production in Week 11.
