As I wrote this article, the news came out that he would miss the rest of the season due to his hamstring injury.
Let's examine what got us here and what you should do if you are rushing to find a quarterback replacement.

Should I Drop Dak Prescott in Fantasy Football?
With Prescott's severe hamstring injury, fantasy managers should drop the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. The former fourth-round draft pick sustained the injury in the Cowboys' Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, tearing his hamstring off the bone. This is a serious issue that requires season-ending surgery.
Prescott was said to be visiting New York on Monday to see a specialist for a second opinion. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports that surgery is required, effectively ending his season.

The veteran quarterback's absence has left the Cowboys scrambling. Cooper Rush stepped in as his replacement in Week 10 but struggled. Neither Rush nor Trey Lance showed promise in that contest, as Dallas suffered a 34-6 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Prescott's fantasy production had already been subpar before his injury. He managed only one game with over 20 fantasy points while healthy.
With the quarterback missing the rest of the season, dropping him is an easy decision.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 11 Fantasy Football?
If you need to replace Prescott, a few waiver-wire quarterbacks could help fill the void, depending on your league's depth and scoring format.
Kirk Cousins (Atlanta Falcons), Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks), Derek Carr (New Orleans Saints), Bo Nix (Denver Broncos), Drake Maye (New England Patriots), and Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams) are widely available in many leagues and could provide steady streaming options week-to-week.

For Week 11 specifically, Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) is worth a look if he is available. Herbert battles the Cincinnati Bengals this week. The Bengals surrender the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, making him a potentially strong start.
Managers needing consistency might find streaming based on matchups effective, especially with Prescott out for the rest of the year.
