Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring) was pulled from his Week 9 game with a hamstring injury after coming up lame on a routine pass. He's now expected to be sidelined for some time. His streak of starts dating back through 2023 will now come to an end.
The team is now in very bad shape and will have to resort to backup signal-callers to get the job done. This is not good news, as they have a losing record, and their chances of winning the division or making it to the playoffs are likely all but dashed now.
So how long will Prescott be out? What are the fantasy football outlooks of Dak and the players around him now that he's injured?

Dak Prescott Injury Update: How Long Will He Be Out?
The highest-paid player in the NFL suffered a partial avulsion of his hamstring, meaning a portion of the muscle tore off the bone. This is a serious injury

The team has recognized the seriousness of it and placed him on injured reserve. There's reportedly a chance that he will need surgery, which would end his season. Even if he doesn't, the news hasn't been good, and fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he ends up being held out for the rest of the year.

Things are leaning towards the pessimistic outcome. The team won't have much reason to rush him back, for reasons described in the next section.
Cowboys Players Fantasy Football Outlook
Obviously, even if Prescott returns, it's a lost season for his team. They're just 3-5 now, heading into a brutal matchup with a surging divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles, who have solidified their defense and still have their QB Jalen Hurts, RB Saquon Barkley, and WR A.J. Brown playing extremely well.
WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) for the 'Boys will still be a worthwhile starter, and expect Dallas' backup quarterback Cooper Rush to pepper him with targets. However, it's hard to see much fantasy value in the other wideouts, and tight end Jake Ferguson should take a significant production hit.
CeeDee Lamb on playing hurt: “I'm not just out there for me…It's a lot of people I'm taking care of. And it's a lot of people that I want to go out there and inspire…I know somebody out there paid their last dollar to come watch me play. I'm going to be out there for them." pic.twitter.com/HZ6TpNcGtn

He's been removed from the injury report and is good to go as well. The shoulder injury he picked up in Week 9 is likely not serious. He's still a low-end WR1 in PPR for now.
Running back Rico Dowdle won't have as much room to work as defenses are likely to have less to account for without Prescott on the field. His fantasy value will take a hit as well. He'll be a low-end RB3/FLEX and possibly RB4 in PPR.
