Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub has suffered a fracture in his foot and will be out for "a while," according to head coach Travis Green. Zub has already missed time with a concussion this season, seeing action in only 11 games. He has posted two assists with 13 shots, 19 blocks, and 16 hits. Zub's injury means a likely promotion to the first defensive pairing for Travis Hamonic, who filled in for the Russian when he was out of the lineup earlier in the season. Hamonic is very defensive-minded and lacks fantasy value. Jacob Bernard-Docker is expected to return to the lineup on the third defensive pairing on Monday versus Calgary.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub (concussion) will be back in the lineup on Thursday against the Islanders. After recovering from a concussion, Zub was back in practice on Monday, and now he's ready for some game action. He has been limited to three appearances this season, sitting out nine games because of the concussion. The Russian blue-liner had a career year with 25 points (five goals, 20 assists) in 69 games last season, but he is primarily a physical force rather than an offensive threat. He will partner Jake Sanderson on the first defensive pairing, with Travis Hamonic dropping down to the third pairing. Jacob Bernard-Docker will be a healthy scratch on Thursday.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub (concussion) was a full participant in Monday's practice. A concussion has knocked the Russian blue-liner out for eight games, but it looks like he could be back in action when the Senators visit Buffalo on Tuesday. Zub was an impactful two-way player for Ottawa last season, notching 25 points (five goals, 20 assists) with 85 shots, 122 blocks, and 139 hits. He was one of only three regular defensemen with a positive plus/minus rating on the team. The concussion has limited Zub to three appearances this campaign.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub has been diagnosed with a concussion and will miss at least one week of action. Zub was injured in Monday's matchup against Los Angeles. The Russian defenseman has a history of concussions, so it is very unfortunate that he suffered another one. Ottawa has three games coming up in the next seven days. Jacob Bernard-Docker is poised to slot into the lineup as Zub's replacement. The 24-year-old is a shot-blocking machine but doesn't offer anything else to fantasy managers.
