5 months agoNew Jersey Devils winger Jesper Bratt recorded two points as the team defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 on Monday. Stefan Noesen scored early in the game off assists by Bratt and Paul Cotter, and the Swedish forward himself was on target late in the second in a power-play situation. Bratt became a point-per-game player last season and has carried that form into the new campaign. With 15 games played, Bratt sits on three goals and 12 assists. The opposition has held him off the score sheet just three times all season. A favorable set of games against Montreal, the Islanders, and San Jose positions Bratt well to keep up his form throughout the week.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoNew Jersey Devils left wing Jesper Bratt tallied three points during their 5-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday evening. In the opening frame, Bratt would tally two of his points. First, he would earn the primary assist on Nico Hischier's power-play strike. Later in the period, Bratt would find the back of the net during 5-on-5 play. Then in the third, Bratt would tally his final point, this time on the secondary assist on Luke Hughes' goal. Leading up to Tuesday's contest, Bratt tallied just two points (two assists) and held a -4 rating over his last six games. However, before this slump, Bratt was quite productive as he held a 10-game point streak. The 26-year-old will look to kickstart another offensive surge on Thursday against the Oilers.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

4 months agoNew Jersey Devils winger Jesper Bratt amassed four points as the team secured a dominant 5-1 victory on Monday against the Rangers. The Swedish forward scored the game's opening goal and dished out three assists, two on the power play. Bratt matched his career high with the four-point effort. Following a bit of a quiet stretch, during which Bratt went pointless in three of five outings, he has registered two goals and five assists in his past three appearances. His offensive haul of 35 points (12 goals, 23 assists) in 28 games makes Bratt New Jersey's leading scorer, and he has only four players ahead of him on the league's scoring charts.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

5 months agoNew Jersey Devils winger Jesper Bratt rocked the Panthers with a hat trick in Thursday's 6-2 win. He became only the third player in Devils history to record an even-strength, power-play, and short-handed goal in the same game. Bratt enjoyed a fruitful October but has even turned it up a notch this month. He has registered four multi-point games in his last six appearances, reaching 24 points for the season. With 20 games played, Bratt has produced eight goals and 16 points. Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier tend to grab the headlines on most nights with the Devils, but Bratt is currently the team's leading scorer, with only seven players ahead of him on the league's scoring charts.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

He matched his career high with 73 points on Friday and will get his first opportunity to set a new scoring record in Tuesday's matchup against Pittsburgh. Bratt has totaled 24 goals and 49 assists in 74 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
