Adam Pelech To Miss At Least Four Weeks
3 weeks agoNew York Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech (jaw) will sit out 4-6 weeks of action after getting hurt in Friday's 4-3 loss to Buffalo. Pelech reportedly injured his jaw when he took a puck to the face. The 30-year-old has averaged over 20 minutes of ice time per game this season, contributing four assists in 11 games while registering 23 shots, 12 blocks, and 17 hits. With Mike Reilly (upper body) and Alexander Romanov (upper body) also battling injuries, the Islanders could be forced to make multiple changes in defense for Sunday's clash with the Rangers. Samuel Bolduc and Grant Hutton have been summoned from the minors to shore up defensive depth.
