BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer saw an increase in yardage gained over the past two weeks, but it could have been due to the absence of fellow WR Quentin Johnston (ankle). When both Johnston and rookie receiver Ladd McConkey were playing, Palmer was an afterthought in the passing offense.

In addition, the Chargers have preferred a run-heavy offense for most of the season, and only passed more than expected the last two games. These two factors contributed to Palmer's increase in production. Now that Johnston is off the injury report, we could see No. 5 relegated to a smaller role.
This would likely kill his fantasy potential again. Even when he was the second healthy receiver on the roster, he saw just five and four targets in Weeks 7 and 8, so without making a handful of big plays, he probably will struggle to score double-digit fantasy points in Week 9. Such a low floor makes it hard to trust him in fantasy lineups.
He should stay on the bench or as a free agent in fantasy leagues.
