BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis (shoulder, game-time decision) may seem like a more attractive fantasy option after the injuries to Christian Kirk (collarbone, out for season) and Brian Thomas Jr. (chest, game-time decision). However, there are a number of reasons why he might be better on the bench.
Jordan Poyer has a PFF grade of 39.7 which is ranked 84th of 85 of all safeties.
Tre White has a PFF grade of 50.2 which is ranked 101st of 105 of all cornerbacks.
Gabe Davis has a PFF grade of 55.2 which is ranked 106th of 125 of all wide receivers.

For starters, Davis isn't good. He's made a few big touchdown catches over the years, but he's been one of the worst WRs that gets significant playing time in the league this year. Jacksonville's offense has run through Thomas, tight end Evan Engram, and running back Tank Bigsby (ankle, good to go Sunday) for the most part.

Also, the Philadelphia Eagles, who the Jags play in Week 9, have been locking down opposing receivers for the past few weeks. After making a change and starting rookie DB Cooper DeJean, Philly has allowed just 4.6 yards per pass attempt in the last three games. That's utterly elite, and by far the best mark in the league from Weeks 6-8.
Don't start Davis this week.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 11 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5 ANALYSIS: New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling had a huge breakout game in Week 11... not really. He did have two huge gains, including a 67-yard pass and a 40-yard touchdown, and scored two receiving touchdowns on the day, but that doesn't mean he's fantasy gold. Marquez Valdes-Scantling. […]
Demarcus Robinson - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 11 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5 ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson doesn't have much of a role in the offense when both of the team's best receivers, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, are healthy. The Rams are a team that concentrates itself around its superstar players as much as possible, which doesn't […]

BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: TE7 ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has had a wild fantasy football season. The veteran tight end looked washed early in the year, averaging 2.8 targets and 3.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the first five weeks, scoring zero twice. However, he has […]

BALLER MOVE: Start in 16+ Team Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: TE18 ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is the TE18 for the year, averaging 6.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, the veteran tight end has been inconsistent for fantasy players. He has scored more than 8.4 fantasy points in only 37.5% of the […]
