Jameson Williams' recent suspension leaves the Detroit Lions offense missing a key weapon for two games. The talented wide receiver has shown big-play potential this season, making his absence a notable gap.
Jamo will not return until Week 10. Detroit's other receivers have stepped up in his absence, but his impact is hard to replicate.
As Williams' suspension winds down, Detroit's passing game continues to shine without missing a beat. However, his elite yards-per-reception and PPR production are hard to ignore. Will the 23-year-old seamlessly return as the Lions WR2, and what does it mean for fantasy?

Will Jameson Williams Start for the Lions When He Returns?
Williams has consistently been Detroit's WR2 this season, a role he is expected to reclaim upon his return. Even without him, Detroit's passing game hasn't slowed down. In Week 8, the Lions recorded an impressive 52-14 win over the Titans, with quarterback Jared Goff spreading the ball efficiently.
Kalif Raymond scored twice -- once through the air and once on a 90-yard punt return -- and Sam LaPorta added to the scoreboard, reinforcing Detroit's pass-catcher depth.

Despite other receivers' performances, Williams' high yards-per-reception rate (21.2) and four double-digit PPR games this season solidify his value as the No. 2 receiver.
While this is the third-year player's second suspension in consecutive seasons, Detroit will reinstate him in his starting role, given his big-play potential. The Alabama product's notable Week 1 performance, with 24.4 PPR points, shows his impact on the field.
Jameson Williams Fantasy Football Outlook
Fantasy managers should monitor Williams closely, especially if they need a deep-threat receiver. His big-play ability has shined this season, and Goff's strong performance, including an 83% completion rate, could provide the wideout with favorable scoring opportunities upon his return.

With Amon-Ra St. Brown handling WR1 duties, Williams' role remains secure, and his downfield speed makes him a valuable fantasy asset in PPR leagues.
While Detroit's offense has adapted well in his absence, Williams' return should add another dynamic element to the passing game. Consider him a reliable option for depth or flex in Week 10 as he resumes his spot in the Lions starting lineup.
