Mikael Granlund Leads The Charge In First Sharks Win
3 weeks agoSan Jose Sharks forward Mikael Granlund produced three points as the team finally earned its first win of the season on Monday, beating Utah 5-4 in overtime. Granlund, who is working as the first-line center during Macklin Celebrini's (hip) absence, finished with one goal and two assists. All of his points came after the Sharks had fallen 4-1 behind ahead of the third period. San Jose appears to be heading toward another miserable campaign, but Granlund has still found a lot of success on a struggling team. He has scored in four consecutive games and sits on a six-game point streak. The 32-year-old boasts five goals and eight assists for the season with 10 games played.
