Curtis Lazar Expected To Miss Time
5 months agoNew Jersey Devils center Curtis Lazar (lower body) is expected to be out for a while. Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe has said that Lazar will miss "some time" after he was hurt in Sunday's 6-2 win over Anaheim. Lazar scored his first goal of the season just a few days ago and has tallied two points in 12 games while averaging 10:33 of ice time on the fourth line. His injury allows Nathan Bastian to rejoin the lineup. Bastian has also seen only limited action on the fourth line, but he's been a bit more productive offensively, scoring two goals and four points in 10 appearances.

Curtis Lazar May Not Return This Season
12 months agoNew Jersey Devils forward Curtis Lazar could miss the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury. The veteran was injured during the second period of a 4-3 win against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. With the Devils set to miss the postseason, Lazar's 2023-24 campaign could be over altogether. "He's not great," interim head coach Travis Green said on Sunday. "I don't know if we'll see Lazar for the rest of the regular season." Lazar is enjoying his best offensive season of his 10-season NHL career with seven goals and a career-high 25 points across 71 games and 12:23 of average ice time per game.

Curtis Lazar Returns To Action Tuesday
1 year agoNew Jersey Devils center Curtis Lazar (lower body) will jump back into action Tuesday versus the Islanders. He's returning from a one-game absence, replacing Erik Haula (undisclosed). Lazar has been limited to 12 minutes per game this season, logging all five of his points during a six-game stretch at the beginning of this month. He could see a few extra minutes in a third-line role on Tuesday, but fantasy managers should have much better options available to them.
