Erik Jones Will Start 28th At Homestead After Qualifying
4 weeks agoFor Sunday's Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Erik Jones will start from the 28th position, the lowest of his Cup career at the Florida track. In seven races at Homestead, Jones picked up positive Place Differential twice and has two top-20 finishes. Through 31 races completed this year, Jones has 14 top-20 finishes, with three of them coming at 1.5-mile Intermediate tracks. In practice, Jones ranked 26th in overall lap averages, 12th in five consecutive lap averages, and 19th in both 10 and 15 consecutive lap averages. While there are other driver options that are cheaper and contain more upside, Jones is still a decent option for DFS lineups who will compete for a top-20 finish.
