New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (illness) won't play against the Bulls on Wednesday. The 24-year-old has been under the weather, so fantasy managers already felt things were moving in this direction. However, he missed shootaround on Wednesday, which further solidified he wouldn't be good to go. Without Williamson in the lineup, Javonte Green may roll with the first five. But Dejounte Murray (personal), assuming he plays, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum will likely benefit the most.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (back) will be shut down for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. The 24-year-old averaged 24.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 steals this season. However, after appearing in a career-high 70 games in 2023-24, he logged only 30 games this season. It's unknown what the future holds for the former Duke Blue Devil as it relates to his time in New Orleans. But even if he ends up elsewhere next season, he'll need to prove he can stay healthy before earning the trust of fantasy managers. Until then, Williamson's presence on any fantasy roster is a risk. CJ McCollum (foot), Trey Murphy III (shoulder), and Dejounte Murray (Achilles) have already been sidelined, so Jose Alvarado, Kelly Olynyk, Bruce Brown, and Jordan Hawkins (back) should be in charge of most of the scoring duties the rest of the way.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (back) won't play on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Williamson will be out of action for the third consecutive contest due to a back contusion. The 24-year-old is one of seven Pelicans listed as unavailable for tonight's contest. Yves Missi (hip) could also be sidelined, as he is listed as questionable due to right hip soreness. The Pelicans won't be making the postseason, so how much Williamson will play during the final 10 regular season games is unclear. Kelly Olynyk, Jose AlvaradoJordan Hawkins and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely have heavy workloads this evening with so many Pelicans on the shelf.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (back) won't play on Sunday against Detroit. After appearing in a career-high 70 games last season, the former Duke Blue Devil has been on the floor only 30 times throughout the 2024-25 campaign. He's battled various ailments during the year. Yet, a back injury will keep him off the floor for a second-straight contest. The Pelicans aren't going to the postseason, so it's unknown how much work Williamson will see moving ahead. But it's not an ideal scenario for those hunting for a fantasy basketball title. With Yves Missi (hip) also sidelined for Sunday's contest, Bruce Brown, amassing 14 points in Friday's blowout loss to the Timberwolves, will probably remain in the starting lineup. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl should also stay in the rotation.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Zion Williamson (back) won't play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. Williamson was previously left off the injury but will now be sidelined due to a lower back contusion. The Pelicans superstar had played in two straight games, and on Wednesday, he finished with 29 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and three steals across 30 minutes against the Timberwolves. Bruce Brown will have an increased role with Williamson on the shelf this evening.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
