Alvin Kamara Playing Through Broken Hand
4 weeks agoNew Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hand) revealed on Wednesday that he suffered a broken hand in the Week 5 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. That's also the same game that quarterback Derek Carr suffered an oblique injury that will cause him to miss a third straight game in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Kamara has played the last two games with his hand injury, but the Saints offense has cratered with Carr out, and Kamara has 20 carries for 50 yards (2.50 yards per carry) and a touchdown on the ground during that span. Things won't get any easier for the 29-year-old, who ranks second behind Derrick Henry this year in overall fantasy points for RBs, going into a matchup this Sunday against the Chargers. Kamara has fallen to RB2 territory in fantasy. UPDATE: Kamara was listed as limited in Wednesday's practice with his hand injury, in addition to a rib ailment.
