DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/24/24)

We have some fun from the Fun Belt and some old Big East flavor from the ACC. It's not bad for a Thursday night, and it's still infinitely more entertaining than the NFL's Thursday offering.

We start in Virginia, but not for the ACC. Old Dominion is bringing in a Georgia Southern team that just beat James Madison. We close the night up in Pittsburgh with Syracuse leaving the Loud House for an NFL stadium. Fitting for a Thursday night, don't you think?

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/24/24, locking at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Kyle McCord, Syracuse ($9.4K)

Pitt's defense is going to get after McCord in ways that NC State couldn't, but he has proven in his career that he can make some big throws. Pitt can do a lot with Eli Holstein, and he has added much-needed balance to the offense, but they are still a run-first team.

The Orange are having a blast throwing it around the yard and will likely need to throw to keep up in this game. McCord's ceiling is higher than anyone else at the position.

Colton Joseph, Old Dominion ($5.9K)

At this point, why would the Monarchs go back to Grant Wilson even if he is cleared to play? Joseph has led the Monarchs to wins over Georgia State and Texas State and nearly completed the comeback against Coastal. It is worth keeping an eye on the situation, but Joseph has 277 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in three starts. If Joseph starts again, he might be the best value on the slate.

Also consider:  Eli Holstein, Pittsburgh ($9.7K); JC French, Georgia Southern ($6K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Desmond Reid, Pittsburgh ($9.4K)

Some teams have been able to harness Reid out of the backfield, but they have been unable to keep him from making plays in the passing game. He's just one of those guys. Reid is going to produce no matter who Pitt plays. He's about as sure of a thing as you can get in DFS circles. His work in the passing game also gives him a high ceiling.

Jalen White, Georgia Southern ($5K)

White has a low floor, so that makes him a bit of a risk. That said, Old Dominion allows 161.86 rushing yards per game this year. In games in which White has had room to run, he has been outstanding. This should be another one of those games. If the Eagles get behind early, keep in mind that White's floor is low.

Also consider: LeQuint Allen, Syracuse ($7.9K); Aaron Young, Old Dominion ($3.8K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Oronde Gadsden II, Syracuse ($5.5K)

He's a tight end who moves like a receiver and has a quarterback who isn't shy about throwing him the ball. With Trebor Pena likely out tonight, Gadsden will likely soak up some vacated targets. He has 16 receptions for 216 yards over the last two games alone. He scored three touchdowns in the first two games but hasn't returned to the end zone since. I think he does tonight.

Jackson Meeks, Syracuse ($5.5K)

Meeks has 29 receptions for 344 yards and three touchdowns in the last three games. That was with Pena in the lineup. What do you think Meeks can do without Pena? It could be a huge night for Meeks. Meeks could be $8K, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him. That's how great this spot is.

Derwin Burgess Jr., Georgia Southern ($4.8K)

Talent always wins out. Even on a team like the Eagles, who love to run the ball, don't ignore the talented receiver. Look at Calvin Johnson at Georgia Tech. Burgess is an elite talent with at least six targets in each of the last four games. He has three touchdowns in that span despite not going over 100 yards. He won't get 100 yards here either, but a touchdown is likely.

Also consider: Konata Mumpfield, Pittsburgh ($5.3K); Dalen Cobb, Georgia Southern ($4.4K); Isiah Page, Old Dominion ($4K); Umari Hatcher, Syracuse ($3.5K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Georgia Southern

French, White, and Burgess are the stars here. Dalen Cobb is a solid add, but I don't know that the Eagles will throw enough for it to pay off. If OJ Arnold is unable to play, David Mbadinga is a really solid punt. He has scored a touchdown in each of the last two games.

Syracuse

The Pitt defense is solid, but the Syracuse offense is a lot more than solid. McCord, Allen, Gadsden, and Meeks are a great GPP stack. Adding Umari Hatcher with Pena out could break a GPP slate.

Also consider: Pittsburgh, Old Dominion
