1 month agoNew York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair (leg) faces an extended period on the sidelines. According to Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello, Duclair is dealing with a long-term injury but is expected to return this season. The 29-year-old suffered a leg injury in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win against Montreal. Duclair has tallied two goals and three points in his first five appearances with the Islanders. Lamoriello expects to know a more specific timeline for his return on Tuesday. Simon Holmstrom took over from Duclair on the top line at the weekend and also practiced in the spot on Monday.
