New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard has been one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 fantasy football season. After finishing as just the WR99 in full-PPR scoring in 2023, he's now the WR11 overall. His chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers has paid off massively.
He was actually a better fantasy option than his teammate, Garrett Wilson before Wilson had two huge games in Weeks 5 and 6. Lazard now has 26 catches for 354 yards and five touchdowns on the season. Unfortunately for his fantasy managers, a huge trade shook up his fantasy outlook, and he could see less work moving forward.
So, should Lazard be dropped now that Davante Adams has been traded to the Jets?

Should I Drop Allen Lazard in Fantasy Football?
While he probably won't profile as more than a WR3/FLEX option in deeper leagues after the arrival of Adams, it's worth it to hold him for at least a few weeks to see how things shake out. Adams could take time to get acclimated into the offense, and it's unclear whether Lazard could be a boom-or-bust option with touchdown upside.

The level of play that the former Las Vegas Raider brings and his long history of chemistry with quarterback Rodgers means that he's likely to be the primary target in the passing game, though. Lazard's target volume should be significantly reduced, and Adams is a great option in all parts of the field.
It's a worst-case scenario in fantasy football for the former Iowa State Cyclone. He may only be startable moving forward if Wilson or Adams get injured and can't play.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 7 Fantasy Football?
New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas had a big breakout game in Week 6, catching six passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. He's rostered in 51% of leagues, and if he's not rostered in yours, you should pick him up immediately. He has immense upside in PPR and looks like new quarterback Drake Maye's favorite target.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a big game in Week five after the loss of Rashee Rice (knee) to a season-ending injury. The former Pittsburgh Steeler caught seven passes for 130 yards. He could be occupying the role Rice once had. He's only rostered in 52% of leagues, and he should be added in all leagues.
