2 months agoKansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt will take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon in Week 7. Hunt has taken over the Chiefs backfield in both games he has played this season. In the Chiefs most recent contest against the Saints in Week 5, Hunt totaled 27 carries for 102 yards and a rushing touchdown. The Chiefs running back also had one catch for 15 yards in that game. This week, Hunt will have more competition for touches out of the backfield with the return of Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The Chiefs former first-round pick was officially activated from the NFI list and should mix into the backfield immediately. Hunt and the Chiefs will also have a tough matchup against the San Francisco defense. The Niners have allowed the seventh-fewest rushing yards per game to opposing offenses this season. Despite the unclear touch distribution out of the backfield and tough matchup, Hunt is still ranked as RB17 in our Half-PPR RotoBaller rankings this week.
