BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-End QB1
ANALYSIS: These days, there are two rules to apply when choosing a starting quarterback. The first is -- is he hyper-mobile? Think Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels, Lamar Jackson. The second is -- is he in an offense from the Shanahan tree? The top quarterbacks this year mostly fit into one of those molds.

Evaluating quarterbacks has never been easier in fantasy. Well, sort of. Purdy is a great player, but it helps that he has Kyle Shanahan calling the plays and designing the offense. He also has great weapons. He doesn't have massive rushing upside, but he doesn't really need it.

You want to start good quarterbacks on good offenses with good weapons. That's what Purdy is. Deebo Samuel Sr., George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk all help him make big plays consistently, move the chains, get into scoring range, and push the ball into the end zone.
The lack of rushing upside makes him a lower-end QB1, but he's still worth starting, especially in 12-team leagues. The matchup doesn't really matter. He hasn't been great against tough competition this year in terms of fantasy scoring, and while the Kansas City Chiefs present a tough defense in Week 7, he can still succeed in this offense.

Alexander Mattison - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 7 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Start if Zamir White (groin) doesn't play POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/RB4 ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison is one of the more frustrating fantasy players to own this season. He's been extremely boom or bust. Granted, the booms haven't been huge, but when he's the lead back, he's at least somewhat startable. […]
Sam Darnold - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 7 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Start POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-End QB1 ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold played well through his first four weeks of action, then fell flat against the New York Jets in Week 5. While the Jets boast an excellent defense that's been giving quarterbacks fits for years now, it's important to look into the context […]
Khalil Shakir - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 7 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Start POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/FLEX ANALYSIS: The addition of former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper isn't great for the fantasy value of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir... or is it? It will really depend on how the targets are divided up in the new offense. It seems like running back James Cook […]
Tyreek Hill - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 7 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Start in all Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2 ANALYSIS: Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has had trouble finding consistency without his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), who has been sidelined since Week 3. During this span, Hill has averaged just 44 yards per game with just 4.3 receptions. However, in the season opener, Hill […]
Tony Pollard - Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 7 (2024)
BALLER MOVE: Start POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2 ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard seemingly has no obstacles between him and a workhorse role in Week 6. Backup Tyjae Spears (hamstring) is likely to miss the game with his injury, and third-year-pro Julius Chestnut saw just one touch in Week 6 and likely won't be much […]
