BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/FLEX
ANALYSIS: The runner-up in yards per reception in 2023, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, has seen his efficiency fall down to earth after an offseason of holding out for a new contract. He's not been the fantasy producer he was in 2024.
He averaged 17.9 yards per catch in 2023 and gained 1,342 receiving yards, yet this season, he's gained just 351 yards and averaged 15.3 yards per catch. He scored seven touchdowns in 2023 and has yet to find the end zone this year. He's on pace for just 995 yards and zero touchdowns through six games.
Brandon Aiyuk is 6'0" 205 pounds, only 26 years old, one of the best route runners in the NFL, and averaged 17.9 yards per reception last season. pic.twitter.com/IAQxWns4Kp

Sometimes, as fantasy managers, we just have to ignore rough stretches and keep starting our studs. Such is the case with Aiyuk. While he may end up being a fantasy bust due to his lack of production to this point, he shouldn't be benched. He earned a huge contract in the offseason and missed a significant portion of training camp.
Missing practices means being less locked into what the offense is doing. He still may need more time to adjust and rebuild chemistry with quarterback Brock Purdy. But he's still a great receiver on a great offense and belongs in your starting lineups in fantasy leagues.
