The Kings have won seven straight head-to-head clashes against Montreal, putting Kuemper in a strong position to improve his record on Wednesday.

His lone mistake came in the second period when Evan Rodrigues found the back on the power-play. Kuemper then shut the door for the remainder of the contest. This was a nice bounce-back showing for the 34-year-old, as he allowed three goals on just 21 shots in his previous game. However, despite that disappointing performance, Kuemper has been quite productive over his last seven starts. During this stretch, the 34-year-old has posted a 5-2 record with a .957% SV and a 1.15 GAA. Kuemper remains a high-end goaltender in all formats, playing behind one of the best defensive units in the league.

Kuemper's work helped the Kings register an eighth consecutive home win, with the veteran netminder extending his personal point streak to eight games in the process. Dating back to Dec. 7, Kuemper has gone 6-0-2 in the Kings crease. Kuemper's improvement in form has been noticeable, as he won only one of five starts in November.
