Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane took the NFL by storm last year, averaging 7.8 yards per carry and scoring 11 total touchdowns in a limited role. Fantasy football managers were expecting a potential top-10 fantasy RB season from the Texas A&M product in Year 2, but many factors have held him back from reaching his ceiling.
Achane has already been banged up this year, and his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, going on Injured Reserve with a concussion has tanked the entire Miami offense. Achane suffered a concussion of his own in Week 5 before the team went on a Week 6 bye, but he could play in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Is Achane still hurt, or is he healthy? What is his fantasy football outlook for Week 7? Let's dive in.

Is De'Von Achane Hurt? Injury Update for Week 7
Achane (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He is progressing through the league's concussion protocol, and since he had an extra week to recover, he is well on track to face the Colts on Sunday.
Concussions are difficult to predict and analyze, so fantasy managers should continue to monitor Achane's practice status as the week moves forward.

De'Von Achane Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 7
Although Tagovailoa is not eligible to return until Week 8, and the Dolphins' offense could continue to struggle in his absence, the Colts have allowed the 12th-most fantasy points per game to running backs, setting Achane up for a potential double-digit fantasy-point week. Indianapolis has been the second-worst rushing defense through six weeks, allowing 155.2 yards on the ground per game.
Due to the matchup, RotoBaller rankings expert Nick Mariano has Achane as the RB19 in half-PPR setups. Fantasy managers are likely hoping for a few top-three finishes at RB for Achane, and that could still happen when Tagovailoa is back. For now, expectations should be somewhat tempered, but he's still an RB2 option for Week 7.
