Week 6 of the NFL season is in the books, and now we shift our focus to Week 7 and what value plays we can find on the main slate in DFS competitions.
In this weekly piece, I will examine some undervalued sneaky targets. By selecting these players, you will have more flexibility in other positions to secure a high-end player elsewhere in your lineup. No matter what competition you are playing in DFS, finding a budget player with a safe floor and room for upside is the recipe for success.
I will include the DraftKings (DK) and FanDuel (FD) prices for each player in the main slate competition. However, when discussing which players are valued, I will focus primarily on their DraftKings price compared to other players on that platform. Even though both platforms have a few minor differences in scoring, a value is usually playable on any format given their relation to other highly-priced players at their position.

Quarterback NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 7
Geno Smith, SEA at ATL | DK: $5.8K FD: $7.6K
Geno Smith had a “down game” by his standards last Thursday in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He posted 19.6 PPR points, his lowest total since Week 3, and threw for 312 yards with a score and two interceptions.
Despite the modest showing, his box score could have looked much better, as a 49-yard TD strike to DK Metcalf was wiped off the board due to a holding call.
During weeks 4 and 5, Smith scored at least 25.0 PPR points. He ran for at least 30 yards on the ground during this stretch.
Facing an Atlanta defense that has allowed the 17th-most points to opposing quarterbacks and in a game with the second-highest point total of the week at 50.5 makes Smith a great value option.
Andy Dalton, CAR at WSH | DK: $5.2K, FD: $7.3K
After taking a step back in Week 5 against a tough Chicago defense, Andy Dalton got back on track in Week 6 as he threw for 221 yards with two scores for 21.2 PPR points against the Atlanta Falcons.
Removing that poor showing in Week 5, Dalton has scored at least 19.0 PPR points in every game he has started.

This weekend, he faces one of the worst secondaries in football, the Washington Commanders. The Commanders looked to have turned the corner, but took a significant step back last week, allowing 323 passing yards to Lamar Jackson.
With the highest point total of the weekend at 52, Dalton should provide a safe floor with a great ceiling in a game he will likely be trailing in.
Running Back NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 7
Chase Brown, CIN at CLE | DK: $5.9K, FD: $6.5K
Since Week 4, Brown was the No.6 RB in PPR scoring and is set at great value this weekend.
During this stretch, Brown has seen double-digit rushing attempts in every game, four total scores, and at least three targets.

To make this more impressive, the 24-year-old has been this productive while being in a timeshare. However, Zack Moss was in the doghouse in the second half of their Week 6 victory after giving up a fumble.
There could be a possibility that Brown will see more than 60% of the attempts in Week 7, given how last week’s game ended, which could make him a smash at his current price.
Alexander Mattison, LV at LAR | DK: $5.5K, FD: $6.1K
Alexander Mattison led the Las Vegas backfield for the second week in a row with Zamir White (groin) sitting out. While White could return in Week 7, Mattison should be expected to be the clear leader of the backfield and see another high-volume game.
Last weekend against a tough Pittsburgh defense, Mattison tallied 65 all-purpose yards with a score and five receptions.
This weekend, he has a much more favorable matchup against the Rams, who have allowed the 24th-most points to opposing running backs.
Tyler Allgeier, SEA at ATL | DK: $5.1K, FD: $5.8K
Atlanta relied heavily on their running game last weekend, and I would not be surprised if they do this on Sunday, facing the 21st-worst rush defense in football in the Seattle Seahawks.
Last weekend, Allgeier saw a season-high 18 rushing attempts and got the slight majority of carries to Bijan Robinson’s 15. Allgeier posted an impressive 105 yards and a score at an impressive 5.8 yards per carry mark.
The risk is there, as Robinson will most likely see more carries than he did in every other game this season. However, given how well Allgeier ran last weekend, he could be in store for another productive day, even in a complementary role.
Wide Receiver NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 7
Jaylen Waddle, MIA at IND | DK: $5.3K, FD: $6.2K
Jaylen Waddle and the Miami offense have fallen apart since Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) went down in Week 2. However, they have an excellent opportunity to get back on track, even with their backup quarterback, this weekend when they face the Indianapolis Colts.
Waddle has caught at least four passes in every game this season and has seen his targets increase every game since Week 3, with a new season-high in Week 5.
It was a great sign to see Tyler Huntley look Waddle’s way quite often, and facing the 25th-worst passing defense in football is a great way to build that connection further.
A star wideout like Waddle will never have a lower price than this. Take him with confidence.
Jordan Addison, DET at MIN | DK: $5.6K, FD: $6.3K
The 22-year-old battled an ankle injury early in the season and has begun settling into the Minnesota offense.
In Week 4, Addison posted a season-best 19.9 PPR points as he caught three of his four targets for 72 yards and a score. In Week 5, Addison saw a season-high eight targets but could only bring in three for 46 yards against a tough New York Jets defense.
Even though the results were quite underwhelming, seeing him increase his target share is a positive sign and suggests brighter days are ahead.
Facing the Detroit Lions in a game with one of the highest point totals of the week at 49.5 could open the door for a shootout, especially lining up against the 29th-worst defense against opposing wideouts.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, KC at SF | DK: $4K, FD: $6.1K
My final wide receiver value is coming off one of his best performances in years. In Week 5, Juju Smith-Schuster led all Kansas City wide receivers with seven catches (off eight targets) for 130 yards. His eight targets were second on the team to only tight end Travis Kelce.
Many expected rookie Xavier Worthy to be the greatest beneficiary of Rashee Rice’s absence (knee), but surprisingly, the 27-year-old journeyman took the lead.

While this performance may be a one-game fluke, it is worth noting, especially with how often Mahomes relied on him.
Given the inexperience in the Kansas City pass-catching room outside of his tight end, Smith-Schuster may continue producing a high-floor weekly with a hefty target share.
Tight End NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 7
Kyle Pitts, SEA at ATL | DK: $4.5K, FD: $5.9K
Since posting zero points in Week 4, Pitts has posted double-digits in back-to-back weeks and has another great opportunity to build on this hot stretch.
Over the past two weeks, the former first-round pick has seen at least five targets in each game, with a high of eight in Week 5.

This weekend, he will play the Seattle Seahawks, who have allowed the 28th-most points to opposing tight ends. Even though he has inherent risk, given his inconsistencies, he remains a high-upside play, given his current price.
Zach Ertz, CAR at WSH | DK: $3.9K, FD: $5.1K
The 33-year-old enjoyed a nice bounce-back performance in Week 6, leading Washington pass catchers with 68 yards. He caught four of his five targets.
During Weeks 4 and 5, Ertz was in a slump, catching just five passes combined for 33 yards.
Given Jayden Daniels's continued progress, Ertz should provide a solid floor and decent ceiling every week. In addition, the Commanders have yet to have a second wide receiver emerge opposite of Terry McLaurin, which should continue to benefit Ertz’s opportunities.
This weekend, he faces the Carolina Panthers, who have allowed the 24th-most points to opposing tight ends.
