Jamal Murray Battling A Knee Problem
Jamal Murray tweaked his knee over the weekend. According to Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, Murray's knee began to feel "funny" during the warm-ups ahead of Sunday's preseason matchup versus Phoenix. Murray started the game but logged only 19 minutes and didn't take the court in the second half. He finished with 1-for-6 shooting, going 0-for-3 from three-point range. The Denver star couldn't get his shots to drop but did a decent job in other areas, picking up three rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Considering his previous health issues, Murray's status will be a huge concern for Denver, with the team scheduled to start the 2024-25 campaign next Thursday versus Oklahoma City. Russell Westbrook's fantasy stock would get a big boost if Murray were to be out for an extended period.

Jamal Murray Considered Doubtful For Wednesday
Jamal Murray (hamstring) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings. He will likely sit out a sixth consecutive game as the Nuggets hit the court for the first time since the stunning firing of head coach Michael Malone. It will be interesting to see what adjustments interim head coach David Adelman makes to the lineup and rotation. Russell Westbrook has filled in for Murray in the starting unit for most of the season, but he has run with the starters only once in the last five games that Murray has missed. Jalen Pickett has recently seen increased usage in the first unit, yet he has been unproductive on most nights.

Jamal Murray Iffy For Tuesday
Jamal Murray (hamstring) has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's tilt against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is in danger of missing a second consecutive game. However, Murray practiced fully on Monday, suggesting that there is a high probability that he will return to the court for Tuesday's action. If Murray can't make a return, Russell Westbrook will continue to have elevated fantasy value. In games without Murray this season, Westbrook has averaged 13.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 9.0 assists.

Jamal Murray Tagged As Questionable Against Trail Blazers
Jamal Murray (ankle) is dealing with an ankle sprain and has been listed as questionable for their Friday night matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. This could be Murray's third straight missed contest, which would be a big blow since Nikola Jokic (ankle) will miss his third straight game. If Murray doesn't suit up, Christian Braun (foot) will likely see a bump in usage while Russell Westbrook will continue to see playing time with the starting five. On Wednesday night, Westbrook finished with 12 points, nine assists, four rebounds, and two steals while Braun registered 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
