Buy Low, Sell High Week 6 Fantasy Trade Value Recommendations - Breece Hall, Bijan Robinson, Garrett Wilson, more

Breece Hall - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football trade candidates to buy or sell for Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season. Martin Grisko lists overvalued and undervalued players to target or trade away.

As the NFL season marches into Week 6, fantasy football managers are navigating the shifting tides of player performance, injuries, and emerging trends. Whether riding high on a winning streak or scrambling to recover from early-season disappointments, understanding when to buy low or sell high can be the difference between a playoff berth and a long season of regret.

The buy-low candidates are often hidden gems, undervalued in the eyes of their current owners, waiting for the right moment to shine. These players may have faced a tough schedule, dealt with early injuries, or simply had a few off-games. However, their potential remains untapped, and a little faith can go a long way. Meanwhile, sell-high targets are the players who have inflated their value due to recent performances, creating a perfect opportunity to leverage their success for a more consistent asset or much-needed depth.

This article will delve into this week’s most intriguing buy-low and sell-high candidates. With astute analysis and a keen eye on the matchups, you can navigate the trade market effectively and bolster your fantasy roster as we hit the season's midway point. Let’s dive into the players who can help you turn your team’s fortunes around!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Targets

RB Breece Hall, New York Jets

Breece Hall has hit a rough patch recently, which might prompt his fantasy managers to consider moving him, especially if they're struggling. Over the last two games, Hall has managed just 19 rushing attempts for a mere 27 yards—far from the production expected from a first-round pick.

However, the New York Jets have recently made coaching changes that could bode well for Hall. Todd Downing is stepping in to handle play-calling for the offense, while Nathaniel Hackett remains the offensive coordinator. This shift could lead to a more productive offensive scheme, benefiting Hall significantly.

Looking ahead, Hall will face the Buffalo Bills, who rank near the bottom in nearly every defensive rushing category. This may be your last chance to acquire Hall before he becomes a coveted asset. Consider offering to snag a top-tier running back poised to reclaim his league-winning potential.

RB Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

Fantasy managers are likely feeling frustrated with the returns from Bijan Robinson, particularly if they selected him in the first round of this year’s draft. Although Atlanta’s offense appears to be gaining momentum, Robinson has yet to deliver a breakout fantasy performance, leading some owners to contemplate selling him as an overpriced asset.

Stay the course with Robinson. He should finally break out in his next two games. In Weeks 6 and 7, the Falcons will face the Carolina Panthers' bottom-tier run defense and the Seattle Seahawks, who allowed 130 scrimmage yards to rookie fifth-round running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Robinson is still a first-round talent with a great offense system to thrive in. With Atlanatas's upcoming schedule, now is the perfect time to buy on Robinson. Buy the dip on a worried manager and make out with a rest-of-season RB1 with Atlanta's soft schedule.

QB Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings

Now is the opportune moment to target Sam Darnold while he’s on bye following a challenging matchup against the New York Jets. Coming out of the bye, he faces a favorable schedule against the Lions, Rams, Colts, and Jaguars, positioning him as a potential QB1 in the coming weeks.

Darnold is benefiting from the best coaching and offensive talent of his career, which is completely transforming his fantasy outlook. Darnold is set to thrive with Justin Jefferson as his top receiver and an array of other playmakers at his disposal. He will soon welcome back starting tight end T.J. Hockenson from injury, further enhancing his options.

Grab Darnold now on the cheap, coming off his worst game and being on a bye week. The Vikings are undefeated and rolling, so don’t expect their game plan to change. They will keep relying on Darnold to lead them, and it’s time fantasy managers do the same.

Fantasy Football Sell-High Trade Targets

WR Garrett Wilson, New York Jets

Garrett Wilson had his best game of the season, making him a prime sell-high candidate. Coming off an impressive Week 4, he now faces a daunting three-week stretch against the Bills, Steelers, and Patriots after the bye.

Wilson has struggled to establish chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who tends to favor familiar targets regardless of talent level—hence the increased looks for Allen Lazard this season. To complicate matters, Rodgers appears to be dealing with an ankle injury, which could further impact his performance.

Adding to the uncertainty, there are whispers that Davante Adams wants to join the Jets to reunite with Rodgers. If this trade materializes, Adams would likely take over as the WR1, pushing Wilson into a diminished role. While there’s no guarantee that Adams will be traded, it’s wise to act now while Wilson’s value is high. Don’t wait until a potential trade impacts his stock; deal with him before it’s too late.

TE Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

In 2024, selling any tight end with decent production is challenging, but it may be time to exit the Kyle Pitts experience. Currently, at best, Pitts is the fourth option in his offense, and his target share seems to be dwindling rather than increasing. With the rise of Darnell Mooney, Pitts has become more of an afterthought in the Falcons’ game plan.

While he recently had a strong performance, catching seven of eight targets for 88 yards, this type of game script is rare. Remember, Kirk Cousins threw 58 passes that day, which is not the norm. Pitts relies heavily on volume to be effective, and Atlanta's offense isn't consistently generating that.

Moreover, with an aging and injury-prone quarterback, now is the time to pull the trigger on a trade. If Cousins were to get hurt, Pitts’ value could plummet. Look to trade him to a tight-end-needy team while he still appears to be a valuable asset.

WR DJ Moore, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore shined in Week 5 against his former team, the Carolina Panthers, catching five passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. This standout performance makes it an ideal moment to sell, especially considering the Panthers have one of the weakest secondaries in the league.

While you might consider holding on to Moore for upcoming favorable matchups against the Jaguars and Commanders, this could be the peak of his fantasy stock for the season. The biggest hurdle for Moore is the stiff competition for targets within the Bears' offense. He has to share looks with fellow wideouts Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze and tight end Cole Kmet, all while the run game gains momentum, leading to fewer passing opportunities overall.

Though it was Moore’s week to shine in Week 5, any of the Bears’ playmakers could steal the spotlight on any given week. Trade Moore now to a team needing wide receiver help, and seek a more consistent option for your roster.
