There are a lot of questions about the Indianapolis Colts entering this weekend. Michael Pittman Jr. was a candidate to go on the IR, but then he showed up at practice on Friday and took part in individual drills.
Let's assume that Pittman practicing doesn't mean anything about Week 6. Let's assume that he will miss the game just as we've been anticipating. In that scenario, Josh Downs will serve as the No. 1 option, but who will the No. 2 be?
Should you pick up Alec Pierce or Adonai Mitchell ahead of Week 6? Let's dive in.

Alec Pierce Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook
We've already seen Alec Pierce serving as the No. 2 receiver for the Colts this season, as he was in that role for the first two games before Josh Downs made his season debut.
Pierce was really good in these two games. He caught three passes for 125 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against Houston and then caught five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against Green Bay.

Last weekend, Pierce had three catches for 134 yards and a touchdown. He's a huge deep threat, but faces a Titans defense that has down a good job limiting the deep passing game.
Adonai Mitchell Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook
Rookie Adonai Mithcell hasn't done a lot this season. He had his best showing against the Jaguars last week, as he was targeted seven times and caught four of those for 38 yards. All three numbers were career highs.
“A lot of times I try to put a lot of hot sauce on routes and sometimes all you need is salt”

The former Texas Longhorn is one of the most talented young receivers in the league, but he's still a relatively raw prospect who needs more time to refine his skills before he's able to consistently make an impact.
Should I Pickup Alec Pierce or Adonai Mitchell For Fantasy Football?
Assuming Pittman is out, both players should see the field, but neither is a great fantasy option. Pierce faces a tough matchup that neutralizes what he's best at. Mitchell just hasn't shown enough to be trusted yet.
If you really need to throw a dart at one of these guys, Pierce is the better option, but temper your expectations.
