Is James Cook Playing In Week 6?

The Buffalo Bills play Monday night, so the team is practicing Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week. So far, running back James Cook has missed all of those practices with a foot injury.

Buffalo doesn't play until Monday night, which really complicates things here for fantasy managers, but the safest thing to do is to monitor whether or not Cook practices on Saturday.

If he's held out again, fantasy managers should go ahead and find someone else to put in their lineups, as signs would firmly point to Cook missing Monday's game against the Jets.

Should I Start Ray Davis for Fantasy Football Week 6?

If Cook is indeed out, rookie Ray Davis will be a popular sleeper play, but is that a smart move for fantasy managers?

Cook has really dominated the backfield touches this season for Buffalo. He has 70 carries and 13 targets. Davis has 26 carries and five targets while Ty Johnson has 10 carries and six targets.

Don't expect Davis to just slide into the Cook role, though. Johnson has really pushed him for the backup role, complicating things.

Against the Texans in Week 5, Johnson had three carries while Davis had none. Davis did have two targets to Johnson's zero, but Davis played just two snaps while Johnson played 21.

Both players are risky fantasy options in Week 6 against a Jets team that allows the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.
