I'm thrilled to be stepping in for the talented Joe Nicely to provide a week's worth of DraftKings DFS picks! We're coming off a very successful Week 5 slate of cash, GPP, and betting wins, so let's keep the momentum going into Week 6.
The bye weeks and London games roll on, so the main slate is once again whittled down to ten games. There is no shortage of upside with some of the games on the docket, but the fewer teams to pick from might show some more concentrated ownerships than usual.
Let's get to the picks! Spoiler alert - I'm going to attempt to flesh out the floor vs ceiling of min-priced Spencer Rattler all week, so make sure you're dialed into the RotoBaller Discord this weekend!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 6 DFS Picks
CASH PICK: Jalen Hurts - CLE at PHI ($7,200)
I really, really, really wanted to lead this article with Spencer Rattler and his minimum price (it's still a viable route), but a rookie QB missing three starting offensive linemen just doesn't inspire confidence. Paying up for Hurts seems the more prudent choice at this juncture.
Cleveland usually presents a challenge for opposing offenses, but that's not the case right now. The Browns have allowed 54 points over the last two games, and will potentially be missing three starters in their secondary.
Hurts will get his entire crew of pass-catchers back for this one (and RT Lane Johnson as well), which is going to make a WORLD of difference for the Philly offense. As a result, the Eagles are maintaining a healthy team total of 25.5, which is tied for the fourth highest on the slate.
Even if the Cleveland secondary starters play, Hurts remains a rock-solid floor play thanks to his legs. He has rushed 42 times through the Eagles' first four games and is averaging over 19 FPPG as a result.
Other cash options - Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Spencer Rattler
GPP PLAY: Kirk Cousins - ATL at CAR ($6,200)
Despite throwing for over 500 yards last week, Kirk Cousins is still showing single-digit ownership even though his skill position teammates are coming in as chalk. This is a tremendous way to gain leverage on the field.
Carolina has allowed a league-high 33 PPG and has also allowed the fourth-highest passer rating and third-highest YPA to QBs. They're decimated by injury on the defensive side, and the Falcons have the third-highest implied total on the slate (26.5).
Other options - Jayden Daniels, Justin Fields, Will Levis
DraftKings Running Backs - Week 6 DFS Picks
CASH PICK: Bijan Robinson - ATL at CAR ($6,600)
Unlike Kirk Cousins, the Atlanta skill players are in spots to nuke this week and are projecting ownership levels that fit perfectly in the cash contests (especially with their middling price tags).
Bijan Robinson's usage has sent his managers into panic mode, but his price has dipped as a result. The matchup will not get much better for him, as Carolina has allowed 155.8 scrimmage YPG to RBs, along with an insane ten TDs already.
“And it's a player that everyone is upset at right now in fantasy… I believe Bijan Robinson is a value at DraftKings this week.”@DraftKings #DKPartner pic.twitter.com/dUOzzdLiZa
— Ross Tucker Podcast (@RossTuckerPod) October 11, 2024
Tyler Allgeier exists. We know this, but Bijan Robinson should still see his normal workload of 15-18 touches, which is more than enough to hit value.
Other options - Alvin Kamara, Chuba Hubbard, Najee Harris
GPP PLAY: J.K. Dobbins - LAC at DEN ($6,200)
There's still an "injury fear" stigma surrounding J.K. Dobbins (like, when is it gonna happen?). That doesn't affect us in DFS, and his ownership projections are showing that DFS players are hesitant to tap into this game.
Dobbins is already running as the RB1 for the Chargers, and now Gus Edwards' status looks to be highly in doubt. With Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater expected to return, Dobbins' outlook is bright, even in a game with an O/U of 35.5 (lowest on the slate)
Other options - Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, Jahmyr Gibbs, Javonte Williams

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 6 DFS Picks
CASH PICK: Drake London - ATL at CAR ($6,700)
It's right back to the Atlanta well for cash at the wide receiver position. Since Week 1, Drake London is the WR3 overall in fantasy. Despite the rise of Darnell Mooney (who can also be played), London has 25 targets over the last two games.
The Panthers are just as battered in the secondary, allowing the ninth most FPPG to the WR position, and Kirk Cousins should have clean pockets all day (Carolina has the third-lowest pressure rate in the NFL).
Other options - CeeDee Lamb, Chris Godwin, Terry McLaurin, Diontae Johnson, Darnell Mooney
GPP PLAY: Zay Flowers - WAS at BAL ($6,500)
Ravens' skill players are slipping through the cracks as far as ownership goes, which is quite odd. They have the highest implied team total of the week at 29.5 and have scored 104 points over the last three games.
Flowers' box score volatility is keeping his projected ownership in the single digits, but it's important to note that Flowers has double-digit targets in three of his five games.
I love looking at actual fantasy points versus expected fantasy points per game.
Some potential buy candidates would be ones in the bottom right-ish section of the scatter plot like Garrett Wilson, Amari Cooper, Zay Flowers, & Courtland Sutton.

Washington presents an amazing matchup for Flowers, as they've allowed the second-highest passer rating and the fourth-most FPPG to opposing WRs.
Other options - Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Jalen Tolbert
DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 6 DFS Picks
CASH PICK: Jake Ferguson - DET at DAL ($5,000)
As of this writing, it doesn't look prudent to play any other TE in cash than Jake Ferguson. His current projected ownership is at least three times that of the next highest tight end, and it's fairly easy to see why.
Ferguson's 30 targets rank fourth among TEs and don't forget that he missed a game this year. He's a high-end TE1 despite a tough matchup on paper (DAL eighth fewest FPPG allowed to TEs). Dak Prescott has locked in on him, and the amount of passes projected to be thrown in this game keeps Ferguson's incredibly stable for cash.
Other options - None really, but Cade Otton and Zack Ertz are the cash values.
GPP PLAY: Tucker Kraft - GB at ARI ($4,800)
Interestingly enough, Tucker Kraft has gone from mega-chalk to single-digit ownership. This is interestingly a result of the potential return of Romeo Doubs coupled with the fact that the masses will just shell out the $200 more for Ferguson.
Kraft is coming off a monster game as the TE1 for the Packers, and Arizona has a bottom-three defense in the NFL. Luke Musgrave was a surprise active last week, but it didn't affect Kraft's usage, as he ran a route on 79% of Jordan Love's dropbacks.
Other options - Trey McBride, Kyle Pitts, Hayden Hurst
