6 months agoOttawa Senators left wing Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will be in the lineup against Florida on Thursday. The Senators captain was kept out from the team's preseason finale due to an upper-body injury, but he's in game shape for a special matchup against his brother Matthew on Thursday. The two have previously met each other 22 times during the regular season. Matthew Tkachuk has outplayed his younger brother in the clashes, notching 25 points against his 11. Brady should have plenty to prove on Thursday after going completely scoreless in the matchup last season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoOttawa Senators left wing Brady Tkachuk (hip) suffered a minor injury during Thursday's victory over the Boston Bruins. He was unable to play in the final period. However, after the contest, head coach Travis Green noted that Tkachuk just "tweaked" his hip and he will be "alright." Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Before exiting the game, the 25-year-old tallied one helper which extended his point streak to eight contests. He also logged two shots and added three hits. Through 63 total contests this season, the former fourth overall selection has found the back of the net 27 times, added 35 helpers, and logged 209 hits. He remains a must-start player in all formats when healthy.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

1 month agoOttawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (lower body) is poised to return to the lineup on Saturday against the San Jose Sharks. On Friday, Tkachuk told reporters that he is "ready to go." The Senators captain has missed two games after suffering a lower-body injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off. Tkachuk leads Ottawa with 21 goals and has notched 44 points across 56 games this season. He ranks 12th in the league with 188 hits. Shane Pinto (upper body) and Josh Norris (upper body) may also be available again against the Sharks after practicing on Friday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoOttawa Senators left wing Brady Tkachuk (lower body) will remain out of the starting lineup on Wednesday when the Senators face the Winnipeg Jets. Tkachuk sustained this injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off. He will now miss his second-straight game. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest on Saturday evening against the San Jose Sharks. Before the injury, Tkachuk tallied five points (two goals, three helpers) over his last five contests. During this stretch, the 25-year-old tallied 10 hits with 33 shots on goal. Overall, Tkachuk has found the back of the net 21 times (44 points) across 56 games while averaging a solid 4.2 shots on goal per game. While he remains sidelined, Noah Gregor will continue to play on the second offensive line.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

1 month agoOttawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (lower body) left Tuesday's practice early, leaving his status up in the air for Wednesday's matchup against the Winnipeg Jets. The talented power forward suffered a lower-body injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off and may be absent for a second straight game. David Perron received a nice boost in playing time on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens and looks to be in line for extra shifts again on Wednesday if Tkachuk remains out. However, the veteran winger has not been a good fantasy option in 2024-25, recording only four points (one goal, three assists) in 19 appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
