Fantasy football's top two wide receivers by weekly average should return to the field this week (yay!). The season's fourth- and fifth-best wideouts won't be on the field (boo!).

Davante Adams (LV) Injury Update
Reporters note that Davante Adams (hamstring) would be healthy enough to suit up this week. But that's not going to be the case. He's requested a trade from the Raiders and won't don silver and black again.
Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) should be healthy by next week as trade talks ramp up (via @RapSheet)https://t.co/ISA6xL67wT pic.twitter.com/rmF8PD8sEp

Even if he's traded by Wednesday, he'd have a lot of playbook studying to play for his new team in Week 6. Fantasy managers should expect to be without Adams once again.
A.J. Brown / DeVonta Smith (PHI) Injury Update
Philadelphia gets a boost out of its bye week. Its star wide receivers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, are expected to return to the lineup.
My understanding is the #eagles are expecting to have their top WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) back this week vs the #browns.
— James Palmer (@JamesPalmerTV) October 7, 2024
Brown missed three games with a hamstring injury. Smith was forced to sit out Week 4 due to a concussion. Brown is ranked as a WR1 against the Browns. Smith is a low-end WR2.
Nico Collins (HOU) Injury Update
Fantasy managers shouldn't count on Nico Collins in Week 6. 2024's current WR2 suffered a hamstring injury while catching a 67-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter in Week 5. The news regarding his injury has worsened since game day.
Texans now have changed Nico Collins’ injury designation from “day to day” to “week to week”, a sign that it could be tough for the WR to return in time for Sunday’s game at New England.

Hamstring injuries can be tricky. With a 4-1 record and a two-game lead in the AFC South, Houston will play it safe with its star wideout's recovery. Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell should see an increase in targets while Collins sits.
Xavier Legette (CAR) Injury Update
Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales says wide receiver Xavier Legette is "day-to-day" with a shoulder injury. That injury forced him out of the Week 5 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette when asked if he would be good for Sunday with his shoulder injury responded with an affirmative.

From the rookie himself, he expects to be active on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. What players say and how the medical staff feels isn't always the same. Keep an eye on Legette's practice reports throughout the week.
Malik Nabers (NYG) Injury Update
Malik Nabers missed Week 5 with a concussion. It was a mild surprise, given he played on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 and had extra time to pass the league's protocol. By the weekend, head coach Brian Daboll said he was still in the early stages of the protocol.
With another week gone by, Nabers should be cleared for Week 6. A better idea of his status will be revealed on Wednesday when the Giants take the practice field.
Rashee Rice (KC) Injury Update
Rashee Rice's season is over. While no damage to his ACL or meniscus is good news in the grand scheme of things, the LCL repair will end his season.
Sources: #Chiefs WR Rashee Rice underwent successful LCL surgery today with Dr. Cooper and will miss the remainder of the regular season. A full recovery is expected.
There was also a repair done to Rice’s hamstring tendon, and I’m told there was no structural damage or tears to… pic.twitter.com/pdGOCPWpT1

Fantasy managers in redraft can clear up the roster spot occupied by Rice. JuJu Smith-Schuster earned most of Rice's targets in Week 5 and will be a popular name on the waiver wire, despite Kansas City having its bye in Week 6.
Khalil Shakir (BUF) Injury Update
Khalil Shakir will likely be questionable throughout the practice week. The Buffalo slot receiver injured his ankle against the Ravens in Week 4 and returned to the game, but couldn't practice leading up to Week 5. He sat out the loss to the Texans.
Limited injury update from Sean McDermott.
On Taron Johnson- "We'll see how he does this week. Think he's improving, take it one day at a time."
On Khalil Shakir- "I think he's improving, we'll have to see how this week goes."
Taylor Rapp still in concussion protocol.#Bills

The Bills are scheduled to play the division-rival Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 6. Unless Shakir's status is clarified before Sunday, fantasy managers will have to pivot to a healthy player.
Christian Watson (GB) Injury Update
Similar to Shakir, Christian Watson's status may not be determined until late in the week. Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur expected Watson to miss a week or two with an ankle sprain.
He and Romeo Doubs (suspension) sat out of Green Bay's Week 5 victory. Jayden Reed and tight end Tucker Kraft were Jordan Love's go-to targets against Los Angeles. That shouldn't change regardless of Watson's status. Dontayvion Wicks will see his snaps reduced with a healthy Watson.
