Clyde Edwards-Helaire Won't Return On Monday Night
2 months agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) remains on the Non-Football Injury list and will not play on Monday night against the New Orleans Saints to close out Week 5 action. Edwards-Helaire had his practice window opened last week, but he was listed as doubtful to play this week on Saturday's final injury report. KC will continue forward with Kareem Hunt, Samaje Perine and rookie Carson Steele on Monday night with CEH still out and Isiah Pacheco (leg) on Injured Reserve. The 25-year-old hasn't played this year as he deals with post-traumatic stress issues. When Edwards-Helaire does return to the Chiefs, he'll just be battling with Steele to be on the active game-day roster. The Chiefs have their bye in Week 6, so we won't see Edwards-Helaire until Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers at the earliest.
