1 min agoRFK Racing driver Brad Keselowski fell short of victory as he placed second in a photo finish during Sunday's YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Beginning the race from the 13th position, Keselowski quickly established himself as one of the best drivers in the field during the first stage. The No. 6 Ford driver would ascend to the front and compete with Michael McDowell for the lead during most of the stage until he got shuffled back in the pack, where he couldn't recover. Keselowski ended stage one in 27th and failed to score stage points. In the second stage, Keselowski suffered a blow to his track position when he failed to pit with other drivers during his green flag pit stop and went a lap down as a result. Thanks to others pitting later, however, Keselowski would gain his lap back, but still was unable to regain track position, ending 31st at the end of the stage. In the final stage, he regrouped with the rest of the pack and began to move to the front once again, even through green flag pit stops. Keselowski ran inside the Top 5 when he caused the race's biggest crash by getting into the back of Austin Cindric, causing Cindric to lose control of his car and crash the field. During overtime, Keselowski was fighting for the win with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. but ultimately could not pass him by the finish line, losing the race by mere inches. With the Cup Series next heading to the Charlotte Roval, Keselowski is not expected to be a top contender as he only has one top-10 finish in six starts at the site.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
