Josh Berry Is A Sleeper At Talladega This Weekend
2 months agoJosh Berry doesn't have the strongest track record at drafting superspeedways in the Cup Series, but that doesn't mean you should stay away from him in DFS contests. Berry has made three Cup Series starts at Daytona and has yet to finish better than 22nd, and at Talladega, he has one start with a result of 16th to his credit. With that being said, the No. 4 Ford has been strong in the draft, which says that Berry is likely finishing worse than he should more due to bad luck (getting caught up in wrecks) than anything. In the three races at Daytona and Talladega this season, Berry has an average running position of 16.01, which is 12th-best in the series, but his average finish of 22.33 over those three races is just 27th-best. Berry qualified 19th for this weekend's race, which should keep his ownership in DFS contests very low. However, he still has Place Differential upside by starting mid-pack, so he's definitely a driver worth consideration for being overweight on in DFS contests--as long as he can stay away from the wrecks on race day.
