Jerome Ford fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 5 (2024). Should you start or sit Jerome Ford for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB17
ANALYSIS: Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford has filled as the starter, with Nick Chubb working his way back from a gruesome knee injury. The veteran running back returned to practice this week for the first time since suffering the injury early last year. However, Chubb won’t play in Week 5, giving Ford another chance to start for the Browns.

The former Cincinnati star is the RB22 over the first four weeks, averaging 10.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, he has had some poor performances with Cleveland’s offensive line dealing with multiple injuries. However, Ford is coming off a strong performance in Week 4, totaling 17 touches for 85 scrimmage yards and 12 fantasy points against the Las Vegas Raiders.
This week, the third-year pro faces a Washington Commanders defense that has struggled to slow down opposing running backs lately. They have given up 149 rushing yards, one touchdown, and 25.9 fantasy points per game to running backs over the past two weeks.
Ford is a solid RB2 with upside because of the matchup.
