What we lack in volume on the late-night slate, we make up for in sheer talent. No fewer than two Heisman contenders are on display tonight, which is impressive with only four teams in action. Don't quit on me now! This is going to be a small but mighty way to end our day of college football bliss!
We begin in Cal if those students are still awake from starting College GameDay at 5 a.m. Pacific. Regardless, the game will happen with or without them with the Hurricanes in town. We end a little bit east in Tucson with Texas Tech heading out to play the Wildcats. How's that for a nightcap?
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/5/24, locking at 10:30 p.m. EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Noah Fifita, Arizona ($8.3K)
Texas Tech is allowing 309.4 passing yards per game this year. Fifita is easily the most talented quarterback they have faced. Fifita's numbers have struggled a bit with tough matchups against Kansas State and Utah, but he should get back on track in a big way in this one. A 300-yard game feels imminent.
On the other hand… Noah Fifita draft stock to the moon!!

Fernando Mendoza, California ($5.9K)
We're going to need the value of Mendoza here if we plan on using any of the higher-priced quarterbacks. It's not like Mendoza is a bad play. Even in a pedestrian game against Florida State Mendoza put up 14.52 DraftKings points. I'll take that for this price.
After watching what Kyron Drones did to the Miami defense last week, I tend to think Mendoza has one of his better games of the season here. He doesn't have a huge upside, but he should carry a reasonable floor tonight.
Also consider Cam Ward, Miami (FL) ($10.4K); Behren Morton, Texas Tech ($8.3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Tahj Brooks, Texas Tech ($8.5K)
Watching Texas Tech running back Tahj Brooks (#28) run is a wildly good time… tackling him is not. pic.twitter.com/xPLA1jQvBE
— Ryan Roberts (@RiseNDraft) May 14, 2024
Brooks has at least 100 rushing yards in every game this season. He seems a lock for that again tonight. Brooks isn't getting as much work out of the backfield as he used to, but he is the workhorse of the Texas Tech offense. DFS is all about volume. Brooks will have the highest volume of any back on the slate.
Quali Conley, Arizona ($7.6K)
Arizona uses a stable of backs, but Conley sees most of the carries. He also has 11 receptions on the season, giving him a few extra points. Conley running for 72 yards on Utah is fairly impressive. We could see a big game here against Texas Tech.
Also consider: Jaydn Ott, California ($8.2K); Damien Martinez, Miami (FL) ($5.7K);
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona ($8.8K)
Arizona's offense is going to bust out again tonight. Mark my words. McMillan may not have 304 yards like he did against New Mexico, but he should get half that total.
Tet McMillan doesn’t move like a guy who is 6-5. This is crazy. pic.twitter.com/sFWFjglZQQ

Josh Kelly, Texas Tech ($6.5K)
Kelly has at least eight receptions in four of the five games this season. This should be a high-scoring game in the desert and Texas Tech is good enough to keep up. We should see another double-digit reception game for Kelly with over 100 yards.
Coy Eakin, Texas Tech ($4.3K)
Kelly sees most of the targets, but Eakin has multiple touchdowns in two of the five games. Morton looks for Eakin in the red zone, which picks his value up a bit. He's very cheap for as much of a red-zone target as he is. Eakin is a bit touchdown-dependent, but he's perfect for a GPP lineup.
Also consider Xavier Restrepo, Miami (FL) ($8K); Isaiah Horton, Miami (FL) ($5K); Mason Starling, California ($3.4K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
Arizona
I would love to game stack this one, but the prices won't allow it. I'm sticking with the Wildcats. This lineup is explosive and the prices are a bit down thanks to two tough matchups in a row. Fifita, McMillan, and Quali Conley make for a nice stack. Keyan Burnett is worth a look as a second receiver after his strong game against Utah.
Also consider: Texas Tech, Miami (FL)
