BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell had a fantastic 2023 before breaking his leg. That and an unfortunate incident where he was shot in the offseason didn't help his start to 2024, and those significant injuries are likely still affecting him. The whole Texans offense has been mildly disappointing as well.
Dell now gets to face a monstrously good pass defense. The Texans' Week 5 opponent, the Buffalo Bills, has allowed just 20.4 PPR fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, the second-fewest in the league. Teams have a much easier time running on the Bills than passing, as the Baltimore Ravens showed with Derrick Henry last week.
CJ Stroud on Tank Dell getting involved vs Buffalo:
“Definitely a key component to this game to get Tank Dell going cuz I think he’s one of the best receivers in the league” 🗣️ pic.twitter.com/f2NFgWV39i

The Texans and quarterback C.J. Stroud have admitted that he's very important to the offense, but there's a reason they signed Stefon Diggs in the offseason. Dell needs more time to recover and hasn't looked like himself. It didn't help that he picked up hand and chest injuries in Week 3 and had to sit out Week 4.
The time to start Tank with confidence will come, albeit with a lower ceiling than 2023 due to Diggs' presence. But it's not against the Bills. They have a massively talented secondary, including possible future All-Pro Christian Benford.
Dell's most likely breakout game is in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. For now, leave him on the bench.

Jakobi Meyers - Week 5 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4/WR5 ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers will be the presumptive lead WR for the Raiders in Week 5 when they face the Denver Broncos. That's the problem (the Denver part, not the lead WR part). The Broncos are a brutal defense for opposing wide receivers in fantasy […]
Najee Harris - Week 5 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/Flex ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris is the least exciting player to start in fantasy football who can still get you some points. He averages just 3.35 yards per carry on the season, but Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith doesn't care. He will use […]
Rico Dowdle - Week 5 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4/RB5 ANALYSIS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are not a team against whom you want to start a running back who's averaging 3.9 yards per carry and has less than 40 PPR fantasy points on the season. Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle didn't earn starter reps until his team decided it […]
Braelon Allen - Week 5 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4 ANALYSIS: It's too easy to get swept up in the "He's gonna take over the backfield, he's better than the starter" narratives, but don't let it happen. Especially not before an international game against one of the best defenses in the NFL. The New York Jets will take on […]
Pat Freiermuth - Week 5 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Start POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1 ANALYSIS: How is Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth the TE5 in PPR right now? Well, it's because the TE5 should be the TE10, but we live in a time of abject poverty at the tight-end position. The position has taken a U-turn this season and brought things back […]
