Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is a good player. He's a good tight end. That's a huge statement considering the state of tight ends today. He's good, though, and he can score a lot of fantasy points. That shouldn't be possible since the NFL hates them now, but it is.
This means fantasy managers who drafted him look like massive geniuses, and rightfully so. He's the TE7 overall despite being knocked out of Week 3 early and missing Week 4, that's how bad it is. At least the team throws him the ball, unlike the Baltimore Ravens with Mark Andrews. That's a plus.
McBride had a concussion in Week 3 and hasn't played since. Will he return for Week 5?

Is Trey McBride Playing in Week 5?
The third-year Cardinals tight end is progressing well in his recovery. He logged a limited practice on Wednesday and upgraded to a full session as well on Thursday. There hasn't been word on his exact return date yet, but players typically don't miss two consecutive games with concussions, and Arizona is probably having him practice with the intent of activating him for Week 5.

McBride owners should expect him to play in Week 5 and not have significant limitations. That said, you never know until you know, and whatever backup plans are in place for him should remain so for his managers. Cards head coach Jonathan Gannon has said his progress looks good.
"It's looking good."

Trey McBride Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook
If he plays, you have to start him. He's an easy top-5 tight end and has a realistic shot at ending the season as TE1 without any further injury setbacks.

He's very good and the Cardinals want to use him. That's all there is to analyzing the top tight ends this year. There's such poverty at the position scoring-wise. There's not much analysis to do. Start him if he plays!
