Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler (concussion) has been a solid new addition to the team. He's worked well in tandem with lead back Brian Robinson Jr. The former Chargers star has handled much of the pass-catching duties for the running back room and made excellent plays with his limited opportunities.
Ekeler actually scored his first touchdown of the season in Week 3, on his best play of the season, a 24-yard scamper to the end zone. Ekeler looked to be hitting his stride just as the Commanders' offense was starting to fire on all cylinders, but sadly, he was knocked out of the game with an injury.
Is Austin Ekeler hurt or healthy? Will he play in Week 5?

Austin Ekeler Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Ekeler was taken out of the game with the Bengals with a concussion. He also suffered a cut to his ear. The veteran is still working through concussion protocols. The consensus is that he will return to play though. It helps that NFL players typically don't miss more than one game due to concussions.
Austin Ekeler just told us on Grant & Danny that he is tracking toward being able to play on Sunday. Sounds like he expects to be back on the field against the Browns.
Said he's feeling more like himself as he completes the steps of the concussion protocol.

The average time missed for concussions is right around eight days. Players often miss at least one game (if the game is seven days ahead of the game they got concussed in) or two games (usually on a short week, but sometimes on long weeks as well). Fantasy managers should expect Austin to return in Week 5 when the Commanders take on the Cleveland Browns.
As always, it's a good idea to stay updated with the situation, but there's minimal concern over Ekeler missing another game, barring something unforeseen.
