Khalil Shakir Leads Buffalo In Receiving Yards Against Baltimore
2 months agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir secured four receptions for 62 yards in the team's 35-10 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night. Shakir caught two quick passes midway through the first quarter but briefly left the game following his second catch. The training staff retaped Shakir's ankle and he was back on the field on Buffalo's next drive. Shakir was on the receiving end of Buffalo's biggest play of the day, a 52-yard catch on a prayer throw from Josh Allen. Shakir nearly scored on the play but got dragged down at the three-yard line. Even with a game script that called for more Buffalo pass attempts, the Bills couldn't generate much offense. Midway through the fourth quarter, Shakir and the rest of the Buffalo starters were done for the night. Shakir has cemented his status as Buffalo's top wide receiver and will be viewed as a WR3 when the Bills face the Texans in Week 5.
