Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jayden Reed: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 4

Jayden Reed - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Should I start Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, or Jayden Reed for Week 4? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

Week 4 of the NFL season is upon us and it is time to get those fantasy lineups set. There are a lot of intriguing matchups on this week's slate, making it all the more difficult for fantasy managers to decide who to start and who to sit.

Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Jayden Reed have already flashed immense upside this year and are intriguing fantasy options. Unfortunately, none of them have produced consistent output through the first three weeks.

Should you start Williams, Smith-Njigba, or Reed in Week 4? Let's take a closer look.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Jameson Williams for Fantasy Football?

Third-year wide receiver Jameson Williams was quiet to begin his career but exploded for five receptions, 121 yards, and a score to open the 2024 campaign. He followed up this breakout performance with another solid outing but was held to just one catch in Week 3 as teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown stole the spotlight.

On Monday night, Williams and the Detroit Lions will suit up at home to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Through three games, the Seahawks have absolutely shut down opposing wideouts.

It's worth noting, however, that Seattle's opponents to this point have had questionable offenses compared to Detroit's, which averages nearly 400 yards per game. This showdown is projected for a healthy number of points, putting all the fantasy-relevant weapons in play.

Williams is the WR28 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Fantasy Football?

On the other side of the football, the Seahawks have a trio of receivers that appear primed for fantasy success. This includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who had the best showing of his young career in Week 2.

JSN wasn't nearly as involved in Week 3, but he didn't need to be, as Seattle maintained a comfortable lead over the Miami Dolphins without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He'll have a great opportunity to bounce back this week against a Lions secondary that surrenders the third-most fantasy points per contest to opposing wide receivers.

Again, this should be a relatively high-scoring affair that remains competitive for all four quarters. In addition, Detroit's run defense is the best in the league, meaning Seattle will likely need to lean on its passing attack in running back Kenneth Walker III's return from an oblique injury.

Smith-Njigba can be started in many leagues and is the WR26 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Jayden Reed for Fantasy Football?

After two consecutive underwhelming fantasy outings, it might be difficult to remember that Green Bay's Jayden Reed was the WR1 in Week 1. This, of course, was with Jordan Love under center against a suspect Philadelphia Eagles secondary.

Although the Packers are 2-0 with Malik Willis at quarterback, none of the team's pass-catchers have been reliable fantasy assets since Love went down with a knee injury. Fortunately, the 25-year-old signal-caller is set to start on Sunday.

Love and Reed were a dynamic duo throughout the 2023 season and got off to a hot start in 2024. They should pick up right where they left off against the division-rival Vikings, who allow the seventh-most passing yards per game and the 13th-most fantasy points to receivers.

Much like the Detroit-Seattle showdown discussed previously, this contest should have no shortage of points as both offenses have been clicking. Reed is a threat to score any time the ball is in his hands, and Love should look to feed him early and often.

Reed is a borderline must-start this week as the WR21 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
