Jaguars Lose Foyesade Oluokun To Injured Reserve
3 months agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars have placed standout linebacker Foyesade Oluokun (foot) on Injured Reserve, sidelining him for at least four games. Oluokun was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, an injury he sustained during the Jaguars' Week 3 loss to the Bills. Although he had already been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Texans, his move to IR will prevent him from playing for the next four regular-season games. Fortunately, Oluokun will not require surgery for the injury. He started all three games this season, recording 22 tackles and a sack. Since joining the Jaguars before the 2022 season, he has started every game and boasts an impressive streak of 69 consecutive starts overall. In his career, Oluokun has played in 100 of a possible 101 games, with his only absence coming in Week 3 of 2020 due to a hamstring injury. The earliest he could return is Week 8 against the Packers on Oct. 27. In his absence, Ventrell Miller will take over the starting outside linebacker role opposite Chad Muma, with Yasir Abdullah providing additional depth.
