BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/FLEX
ANALYSIS: To many people's surprise, Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison has out-produced Zamir White in fantasy football this season, creating plenty of lineup questions ahead of Week 4.
Mattison has scored a touchdown in all three games this season, and he has also showcased a knack for catching passes. Through three games, he has seven catches and 80 receiving yards. One of his three touchdowns this season came through the air.
In addition to working as a pass-catcher, Mattison has also been involved on the ground, registering just 12 carries but rushing for two touchdowns.
The Raiders appear to prefer Mattison over White in both goal-line and pass-catching scenarios, which is great news for Mattison's fantasy managers. There's no reason why this trend can't continue in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, who have allowed the fifth-most rushing touchdowns and the 14th-most receptions to opposing running backs.

However, Mattison's fantasy value is largely dependent on touchdowns. So far, he is the RB25 in PPR leagues, but if you take away his three touchdowns, he drops all the way down to RB45. That's the difference between a fringe RB2 and a bench player. So while we can't discount him for scoring touchdowns, managers should be aware that his fantasy value is largely dependent on finding the end zone.
As a result, Mattison ranks as an RB3/FLEX in Week 4. Managers will be rewarded if he finds the end zone but must also temper expectations in case his scoring streak ends.
