Week 4 FLEX Outlooks for Fantasy Football
Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers - Fantasy Football Outlook
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston will look to make it three weeks in a row with a touchdown when the Chargers face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. Johnston scored twice in Week 2 and followed it up with another trip to the end zone in Week 3.
The scores and a few long gains have shot the sophomore pass-catcher up to an overall WR21 ranking through the first three weeks. Some of his underlying metrics aren't all that pretty, but results count, and he's making things happen on the field.
A matchup against a strong Kansas City secondary will be a good test for QJ, who leads the Chargers with a 31.6% first-read share. There's a concerning floor but an enticing ceiling as well, leaving him somewhere in the WR3 ranks as long as Justin Herbert (ankle) can start under center.
- David A. Marcillo, RotoBaller
Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - Fantasy Football Outlook
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir has yet to miss on any of his 14 targets in 2024 and is cementing his status as the team's go-to option at wide receiver. In Week 4, Shakir draws a Baltimore secondary that is the worst defense against the pass through three games. CeeDee Lamb is the only opposing WR1 who didn't top 100 yards against the Ravens.
Rashee Rice and Davante Adams each hit triple digits. While Shakir doesn't go downfield as much, he's set for a safe PPR floor against this shaky secondary. With what projects to be a more competitive game than we've seen from Buffalo in the last couple of weeks, Shakir is at worst a flex in lineups.
- Andrew Ball, RotoBaller
Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Fantasy Football Outlook
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Bucky Irving (hamstring) has been given a questionable tag to play in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Irving was limited in practice on Wednesday, didn't practice on Thursday, and returned to a limited practice on Friday.
The 22-year-old fourth-rounder has been more productive than Rachaad White through the first three weeks, which could lead to more touches moving forward, but his status is in question for the weekend. Irving so far has 30 total touches for 182 scrimmage yards and has looked much more elusive and explosive with the ball in his hands.
Even if Irving is a shaky RB3/flex play this Sunday against the Eagles, he's deserving of a stash in most fantasy formats, regardless of whether you also have White. If Irving is unable to get the green light to play in Week 4, it will make White a more appealing RB3/flex play himself, while Sean Tucker would serve as the direct backup to Whit
