BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: D/ST 2
ANALYSIS: The Dallas Cowboys' defense got demolished by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. They were dominated all game and couldn't stop Derrick Henry from running it down their throats all game. They have the worst run defense in the NFL through three games. And it's not likely to get better soon.
The Cowboys are allowing a cool 39 DraftKings points per game to the RB position in 2024.
In Week 3, Baltimore didn't even bother running a real NFL offense vs. the boys.
Next up for the Dallas run defense:

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary is an unexpected gem at the RB position, and he'll get the pleasure of facing the Cowboys' anemic run defense. Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is either made of rust or just has a terrible defensive scheme. The loss of DT Johnathan Hankins after 2023 hurt too.
Hankins was the Cowboys' best run defender, and they miss him dearly. DT Mazi Smith was a waste of a draft pick (the Cowboys really should've taken Sam LaPorta) and the Giants have a hugely improved offensive line.

The Giants are primed for an upset, but at the very least they should be able to run the ball well and grind the clock down. Allowing consistent first downs by rushing is one of the worst things a defense can do for fantasy.
Yes, it sounds crazy, but the Cowboys D/ST isn't what it was last year, and if they can't stop the run against the Giants they won't be worth starting in your fantasy lineups either outside of deeper leagues. There's always the chance Daniel Jones throws interceptions, but he didn't against the Browns last week.
The Giants are a revamped team that addressed their glaring issues in the offseason. The Cowboys lost their best run defender and their new defensive coordinator doesn't seem to understand that you can't win the game if your defense surrenders 5.4 yards per carry, the most in the NFL. Leave the Cowboys D/ST on your bench.
