Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith is off to a great start this season. He has caught at least seven passes and totaled over 75 receiving yards in all three games in 2024.
As a result, he enters Week 4 as the WR8 in PPR formats. However, there's a chance that Smith will miss Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
So, is Smith hurt or healthy? Will he play in Week 4? Let's dive in and find out.

DeVonta Smith Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Things were going well for Smith in Week 3 after he caught his seventh pass for 79 yards early in the fourth quarter. But on that seventh catch, he was banged up after a Saints' defender came in and hit the Eagles wideout hard in the head area. The 25-year-old immediately left the contest and was ruled out.

After the game, it was confirmed that Smith suffered a concussion, and his status for Week 4 is now in jeopardy. The wideout will have to go through the five-step protocol before Sunday in order to play against the Buccaneers. So, it remains to be seen if he will be ready to go this weekend.
With the Eagles having a Week 5 bye, it's likely we might not see the young wideout until Week 6. He will need to practice in full before Saturday in order to play on Sunday.
DeVonta Smith Fantasy Football Outlook
Given how the Eagles have used Smith through the first three weeks, he is a strong fantasy WR2 for the rest of the season. He has totaled at least 14.5 PPR fantasy points in all three games this season while seeing double-digit targets in two of three games. While A.J. Brown (hamstring) will return at some point, the 25-year-old wideout is a must-start in fantasy moving forward.

The Eagles have been moving Smith all around the field in the early going, which has led to him working more in the slot. That will certainly increase his fantasy outlook for the 2024 season. If he can suit up in Week 4, fantasy managers should be starting him no matter what.
