2 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson (foot) is officially active to face the New Orleans Saints on the road in a Week 3 showdown on Sunday. Gardner-Johnson was listed as questionable for Week 3 on Friday's final injury report after missing practice on both Thursday and Friday, but he was optimistic all along he could suit up. The 26-year-old apparently convinced the Eagles' coaching staff that he was fine during pre-game warmups on Sunday. With Gardner-Johnson in the fold, it will be a tougher test for a Saints offense that has been full speed ahead through the first two weeks of the 2024 season with blowout wins over the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. Gardner-Johnson, a former fourth-round pick by the Saints, has 11 tackles (five solo) through the first two weeks in his return to the Eagles after spending time in Detroit in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
