Although the Legacy Motor Club cars have not had much speed in recent years at all, both Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek ended up scoring top-10 finishes by weaving their way through the carnage of numerous wrecks. Nemechek actually had a terrible start to the race, starting 28th and sitting outside the top 30 for most of Stage 1 before a couple well-timed, two-tire pit calls pushed him up the field. In a race where clean air was king, he spent a part of Stage 2 in the top 10 before entering it mostly for good after the caution for Jesse Love's crash trapped several contenders a lap down. While he didn't run as well as Jones and was lucky to finish eighth, this still marks his first finish on a non-drafting oval since last year at Loudon.

Legacy Motor Club's John Hunter Nemechek will start 28th for Sunday's Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. It will be the fourth time in Nemechek's Cup career that he will start a race lower than the 25th position at Texas. In four races at the site, Nemechek has three finishes with positive Place Differential that are all 22nd or higher, with one DNF due to a crash. After 10 Cup events so far this season, Nemechek has four top-20 finishes with an average finish of 20.0, and six finishes with positive PD scored. In practice for Sunday's race, Nemechek's overall lap averages ranked 16th of all drivers, and he displayed top-20 speeds in the 15 and 20 consecutive lap average categories. Nemechek has solid upside based on his starting position, and with equipment capable of a top-20 finish, he is worth rostering in all formats as one of the better value punt options.

John Hunter Nemechek hasn't been overly impressive since joining the NASCAR Cup Series full-time, but superspeedway races have given JHN opportunities to shine. In nine career Cup Series starts between Daytona and Talladega, Nemechek has finished 15th or better seven times, including a pair of eighth-place finishes here at Talladega during the 2020 season while driving for Front Row Motorsports. In the Next Gen era, Talladega hasn't been as kind to JHN, but he's wound up seventh, 15th, and fifth over his last three races at Daytona. He also ended up 10th at Atlanta this year, which is another, smaller drafting track. This weekend, Nemechek qualified back in 29th-place for the Jack Link's 500, which gives him great Place Differential upside in DFS contests. You should have plenty of JHN exposure on Sunday.

Don't be afraid to roll the dice with John Hunter Nemechek this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Legacy Motor Club driver finished sixth in the 2024 spring race at Bristol, and track conditions are expected to be similar this time around. Additionally, Nemechek had a strong practice session on Saturday in Thunder Valley, ranking fourth-fastest ni 25-lap average. Overall, Bristol has been a strong track (relatively speaking) for Nemechek, as he has posted three top-20 results in four career starts here. This weekend, he qualified way back in 32nd-place, but that just raises the ceiling in terms of Place Differential FPTS for DFS players. At just $6,000 on DraftKings, John Hunter heads into Sunday's Food City 500 as one of the top low-dollar drivers to roster on Sunday.
