BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB38
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings running backs Ty Chandler and Aaron Jones form one of the NFL’s better 1-2 punches in the backfield. The third-year running back is the No. 2 guy behind Jones, seeing nine fewer touches over the first two weeks. However, he has been solid for fantasy players.
Chandler is the RB36, averaging seven half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former North Carolina star has had double-digit touches in both games this season. Last week, he had 10 rushing attempts for 82 yards, averaging 8.2 yards per attempt. By comparison, Jones averaged 3.6 yards per rushing attempt on nine attempts against the 49ers.
Ty Chandler led the Vikings with 82 rushing yards vs. the 49ers and has seen 10+ touches in back-to-back games.
With a steady role in Minnesota’s RB committee alongside Aaron Jones, Chandler is a strong FLEX option in deeper leagues.

While his role on offense could be expanding, fantasy players shouldn’t start Jones as more than a flex option in deeper leagues this week. The Vikings face the Houston Texans in a matchup of two 2-0 teams.
Houston has held running backs to only 12.7 fantasy points per game this year, the third-fewest in the NFL. Chandler will have far more fantasy appeal when he faces the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.
