BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB1
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield is off to a great start in 2024 and is the overall QB1 after two games. Mayfield torched the Washington Commanders (who admittedly have a bottom-5 secondary) before turning in a mediocre performance against the Lions.
Mayfield was shakier in Week 2, throwing an interception and fumbling twice (luckily for him the defense didn't recover either fumble) but he's still a solid top-12 QB with upside. New Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen has installed an effective offense with plenty of passing volume.

Mayfield is picking up where he left off, and has a good shot of finishing as a top-10 QB this year. Given the overall lack of startable quarterbacks, Mayfield should be in starting lineups in every league with 10 or more teams. Mayfield probably won't remain the QB1 overall, however.
He doesn't have much rushing upside, and he won't face the Commanders every game of the season, so tougher tests are ahead for Mayfield. He's unlikely to crack 30 points in a game, so he doesn't have the upside of hyper-mobile QBs like Anthony Richardson, Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson.
He's a fine starter and should remain so for the rest of the season. Lock him into your starting lineups for Week 3.
