BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: The spark that Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin provided to the Broncos offense in relief of Javonte Williams last season appears to be gone. While it might not be entirely McLaughlin's fault, he hasn't produced at all.
McLaughlin committed a costly fumble in Week 1 and saw his workload and snaps reduced in Week 2 in favor of Williams. McLaughlin doesn't have the size to be a bell-cow RB, so a split with Williams was inevitable, but Williams is 220 pounds.
Alarmingly, McLaughlin saw zero targets in Week 2 after gathering five receptions in Week 1. Williams' targets went from two in Week 1 to five in Week 2. If Williams takes over McLaughlin's pass-catching duties, he could quickly slide into irrelevance.
Jaleel McLaughlin has been almost an automatic negative play every time he's touched the ball this season

To make matters worse, the Broncos offense has been horrific through two games. New starting QB Bo Nix has played terribly, and the offense ranks bottom-5 in yards per game and third-to-last in scoring. Defenses can fully key into defending the run. Broncos RBs have averaged under 2.5 yards per carry in 2024 so far.
Leave McLaughlin on the bench. He's a drop candidate.
